A glassfibre trolley that quickly converts to a sled is being used by grandmother Rosie Swale-Pope on her epic journey to run around the world.
Commissioned by Runner’s World magazine she was presented with the trolley in Omsk having previously carried everything in a rucksack and then used a baby jogger. She has named it ‘Hercules’. So far it has survived a Siberian winter and being hit by a bus. As well as allowing Rosie to carry more – essential in the remote parts of Siberia that she is currently traversing – it also allows her to deploy the solar panels to keep her satellite phone charged up.
