Britannia Trophy Presentation to Sacha Dench

Excellent evening at the RAF Club to see Sacha Dench be presented with the Royal Aero Club’s prestigious Britannia Trophy for leading the Flight of the Swans expedition. We were pleased to support this ground breaking paramotor flight from Northern Siberia back to the UK following the migration of the Bewick Swan. Our involvement was in advice on heated clothing and running the selection procedure for the ground crew of the media team and support personnel.

The award was presented by HRH The Duke of York who followed up the formal presentation with a long chat in which he remarked how he had caught coverage of the expedition at the time which shows that the huge media effort worked its way into unexpected corners.
