New Buggy for ‘Run Geordie Run’

Run Geordie Run logo

The first meetings have taken place to build a buggy for Mark Allison, AKA ‘Run Geordie Run’.

Geordie has already multiple stages of his round the world run – each raising large amounts for charity. Up until now he has employed a support crew and vehicle. The use of our buggy design will allow him to be more self sustaining and so channel more money towards the charities and be more flexible in his daily schedule.

This latest generation of buggy will incorporate upgrades and improvements based on other projects and feedback from extensive use in the field.

One key upgrade will be the addition of solar panels to the roof, with charging points for laptop and phone mounted inside. Geordie’s next stage will be from Belgrade to Astana in Kazakhstan in the summer of 2018. This will provide long spells without any easy options to recharge batteries so the on-board power system will make a real difference.

This year will be used for extensive training, raising awareness and getting used to ‘buggy life’.

Run Geordie Run, first planning meeting
The first serious planning meeting took place at what will become a regular rendezvous – Wetherby Services. The glamour is just too much!
